A Visual Feast for the Eyes

NeedleArtArtistry has been created by Daphne Goodyear with the simple mission to inspire others.  This website features  my art needlework, my life's work. For me, it has been an almost 40 year journey filled with passion for the art form known as Needlepoint!

Most of my adult life, I have been inflicted with an incredible love of NeedleArt.  My collection represents the application of NeedleArt Artistry in some of its most glorious forms.... from furniture to wall hangings, to Christmas ornaments to pillows to frames and much more.

The NeedleArt Artistry website is dedicated to my amazingly gifted stitching friends, all of whom have inspired my creativity beyond my wildest imagine.  A sampling of their incredibly beautiful work is featured on this site (see web pages Talented Helen, Lee & Sonia) .

Welcome  to the world of NeedleArt Artistry. I hope you will enjoy this website.  It promises to be a visual feast for the eyes!              I

Piggyback

Piggyback is unique with all its beading and multiple fancy stitches. The headpiece flower is a custom made bead by Lee Cox.  This is one of my most favorite pieces (more pictures, including close-ups under Hang It Up!)

The American Flag in Patchwork

An unusal American Flag!  Each square is a different stitch.  Most of the threads were metallics or silks.  The framing was done beautifully by Frame It Up in Sarasota, Florida.

Kimono

This kimono is measures approximately 3 feet by 4 feet.  I used lots of copper and gold threads, along with 5 colors of purple in silk, with the lightest at the top and the darkest at the bottom.

Santa Claus

Santa is stitched on both sides.  He is a beautiful Santa enhanced with beads, fancy stitches and other embellishments (more photos of Santa on the Christmas Stand-up page)
